Symposium Urban studies in education and research

Call for Abstracts

Interested YOUNG SCIENTISTS / POSTGRADUATES / RESEARCHERS can apply:

  • to publish their work in the peer-reviewed and Scopus-indexed Research in Urbanism Series (RiUS), an academic publication series hosted by TU Delft. The editorial team (Humann, Mensing-de-Jong, Nijhuis and Wende) will invite authors to elaborate their contribution into an academic paper after the conference.
  • to design, chair and document one of six workshops on the topic of "Urban Studies in Education and Research".
  • to contribute to the poster exhibition accompanying the symposium.

Contributions can address topics such as:

  • new educational models to teach complexity
  • problem solution strategies versus place making
  • research by design versus design by research
  • emerging research agendas
  • etc.

Applications can be submitted from today. Simply insert an abstract of max. 350 words using the form (see below).

Abstracts submission EXTENDED until 27th of July, 1.00 p.m.

The abstracts will be selected by an international conference board based on the criteria of suitability to the topic of "Urban Studies in Education and Research" as well as innovation, internationality and academic relevance. In particular, young researchers are expressly encouraged to present and discuss new approaches and formats in education and research and to establish contacts with international partners.
